Automatic Installation:
HEED, SBEED and Climate Consultant can read EnergyPlus format (EPW) climate data files automatically.In HEED and SBEED go to the Library screen and select Install Weather Data. When the popup appears follow instructions on the screen being sure to Right Click on the EPW file, choose the Copy Link Location option, then close the EPW site and click on the Paste Link button, and if it looks OK then click on Install. Go to the Initial Design screen and click on the Location box down arrow, and click on the file you want to use.
In Climate Consultant you can install new weather data files by selecting the Download EPW Weather Data File button on the Select Weather Data screen either when starting a new project or by selecting Change Weather Data on the File menu. When the Install Weather Data popup appears follow instructions on the screen, being sure to Right Click on the epw file, choose the Copy Link option, then close the EPW site and click on the Paste Link button, and if it looks OK then click on Install. Once installed the file will be opened automatically and the Weather Data Summary screen displayed.
